About Tracie Costa, NP
Tracie received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in Dartmouth, MA.
Tracie was inspired to become a nurse practitioner after many years of working in an acute setting and seeing the end result.
She considers her philosophy of care to be that of an upstream thinker. If she can get to the root of the problem, many acute and long term diseases can be avoided. It’s not always about which medication can be prescribed, rather it being about the utilization of basics such as nutrition and physical activity. She wants her patients to understand that the care provided comes from a teamwork approach.
To her Southcoast Health means providing quality care to the community. It’s a great place where patients are valued and treated with dignity and respect.
When not at work, she likes to travel with her husband, spending time at the beach and enjoys weightlifting and hiking.

MY FIRST VISIT WAS VERY GOOD!
I called and requested to be seen asap due to wheezing and coughing. I was able to be seen by this provider the same day. She checked for other causes before diagnosing my issue. She listened to me, prescribed some meds and explained why they were being prescribed. I am feeling much better today.
