About Richard Pin MD, FACS
Dr. Richard Pin received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia where he graduated first in his class. He then completed his general surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
His clinical interests include aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, venous insufficiency, varicose veins, thoracic outlet syndrome, and dialysis access. Dr. Pin is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in minimally invasive endovascular procedures as well as open vascular surgery. He is skilled in angiography, angioplasty, and stenting.
Dr. Pin is board certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery.

Dr. Pin was very personable & very informative on the pros & cons of surgery on my sub clavicle artery.He also explained what was seen on previous imagines of that area.Also, it was all and all a very well thought about my options regarding the surgery.
What can I say about an award-winning surgeon that has not already been said? To my own family I have called Dr. Richard Pin God's hands. I admire him and appreciate his skill as a surgeon; during office visits, I enjoy his humor and affability.
I was not called by my proper first name. I corrected the associate. I did not get a welcoming reception by office staff. Dr Pin however, is smiling and pleasant and reassuring.
Dr. Pin has always been very clear about the treatments which may be necessary. And, of course, has performed these treatments expertly.

Efficiency and Professionalism
When I was hospitalized in January-February, I called Dr. Pin "God's hands." The surgery on my carotid artery was successful, and the ultrasound in May confirmed that success. The only issue I had with this most recent meeting with Dr. Pin was the shortness of my interaction with him.
Everyone in this office were very courteous and pleasant. Dr. Pin is a very thorough physician and a pleasure to see, which is a very rare thing for a patient to say. Not too many people enjoy seeing their doctors.
