About Michael Messina, MD
Dr. Messina started his medical education completing a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at Boston College. From there he furthered his medical studies at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, receiving his Doctor of Medicine. Michael completed his residency at New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine in Concord.
Dr. Messina’s philosophy of care revolves around providing his patients with the best, most evidence-based care that he’s capable of providing. He strongly believes in listening to his patients and making them feel heard. Dr. Messina believes that doctors provide better medical care when they allow themselves to be human and connect with the human being in front of them.
When not at work, he spends most of his time with his family.

Work on scheduling appointments to minimize wait time, particularly in the examination room.

I was impressed by the time Dr. Messina took to explain and answer my questions. I have hypertension and taking my blood pressure immediately after walking up a flight of stair and a long walk to examination room does not seem to make sense.
I don't have anything bad to say about the office staff, and most importantly, Dr. Messina! He is a young, kind very smart doctor! He takes time to explain things and most important. He always listened to my questions and concerns. I love his professionalism and how he takes care of my health.
I have followed this provider for many years. One of my first provider as I moved from NC 15 years ago. He is amazing. Treats me like a human. Show that he cares. I went from cap Cape to Southeastern and I LOvE IT!!!Now my mother has moved here and has him as well. Thank you.

Documentation and exercise can be very valuable and it takes time to take cues and skills to continue the patient's healthy women's health journey.
Dr. Messina listens to what a patient is needing and helps in the best way possible. He also explains medications and side effects thoroughly. He takes into consideration what the patient is feeling and needing.
Dr Messina reviewed my medical history and questioned certain diagnoses and ct scan. He discussed relevant factors in my current illness. I was extremely pleased with this visit and would even like to have him for my PCP.

Have been seeing Dr. Messina since before he began with South coast, and from day 1 have found him to be an excellent doctor, which is why I chose to continue with him at South coast. He is knowledgeable, friendly, concerned, and overall an excellent physician.

Dr. Messina was very thorough. He listened and looked for answers from a variety of possible causes. He ran late, but I understand why, and completely would wait again for him!!! His medical assistant explained why he was behind, offered me water, and to just ask out the door if I needed anything. I was impressed by my whole experience today. Dr Messina is an excellent physician for me. I have been with him from the Community Health Center to Falmouth Private practice and now Southcoast.He has helped me through numerous medical issues over the years and I can't thank him enough for his knowledge and caring.

The provider was able to explain in easy ways, but he was 30 minutes late to the appointment time, which was not appreciated.
