Dr. Podkowa completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident.
He earned his medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. He was a National Health Corps scholar and was a member of the Osteopathic Honors Fraternity at Lake Erie College of Medicine.
Dr. Podkowa is board certified in internal medicine.
His clinical interests include smoking cessation, weight loss, heart disease, diabetes and preventive medicine.

I am 65 years old, and I had an appointment with Dr. Pakawa. From the moment I walked in to check in, the person who checked me in was polite, friendly, explained what was going on. The nurse, the doctor, checking out, it was amazing. I felt heard. I was told things that I did not know about regarding my health. that got me thinking about how I need to change my lifestyle a little bit. And I'm more than pleased with the care I have received. And I look forward to many, many more years with Dr. Pacawa and his staff. A very great experience that I would recommend to anyone. And I'm very, very, very appreciative. Thank you.

It was a wonderful experience. My provider was very informative, very... I can't say enough about them. I really can't about him. I was well informed. I left there feeling good about myself and about my health or if there was any problem, I knew where to call and where to go because I'd get any information that I needed and I'd get the care that I needed.
