A Work Tolerance Screen is an evaluation that measures an injured worker’s ability to perform the essential functions of their job. Performed by a licensed Physical Therapist, it will assess specific musculoskeletal deficits and functional limitations that are preventing a full return to work. The outcome of this evaluation will determine if you are a candidate for the Work Conditioning Program. Requirements prior to evaluation: A physician referral, your job description and Worker’s Compensation insurance approval.
Work Conditioning Program
The Work Conditioning Program is an all exercise-based therapy program designed to assist an injured worker in getting back to full duty work. It includes customized work simulation tasks, cardiovascular conditioning, injury specific strengthening, functional lifting, and specific work-related activities as needed. You will participate in sessions three times per week for up to two hours per session for four to eight weeks. Duration of the program is dependent upon the severity of your injury and the demands of your work. Regular communication and updates will be provided to your physician and Worker’s Compensation adjuster and/or nurse case manager. This program is paid for by Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
