About Michelle Wong DO
Michelle Wong, D.O. earned her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, PA. Having previously spent time in New England as a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Smith College, following medical school she came back to New England to complete residency in internal medicine at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, where she also served as Chief Internal Medicine Resident. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Wong has clinical interests in general gastroenterology. Her personal philosophy to practicing medicine is applying evidence-based medicine but with a personalized approach, and customizing society-recommended treatment plans that are unique to each patient’s circumstances and preferences.
In her free time, Dr. Wong enjoys wildlife animal rehabilitation, rowing/coxing, and karaoke.

Dr. Wong is very thoughtful.
This physician has very good communication skills and is very knowledgeable.
The Dr. derived a good plan for moving forward. She listened to me carefully and assessed my situation the best she could with what little information she had.
Dr Wong reviewed my medical record thoroughly with me to insure that I was aware of risks regarding procedure at my age. We discussed my recent issues and she was explained in detail all of the initiatives that I could take to improve conditions. I left with all of my questions answered and with a clear plan.

I've been to many hospitals and doctors. Dr.Wong is very caring, knowledgeable she even gave me insight on my other health issues. I've had 3 stomach and esphagus surgeries. She changed medication several times until she got the correct one that works for me. She is very determined to get the results I needed. With her help I've lost 45 pounds which helped my liver. She is a remarkable and enthusiastic doctor

She was very quick and helpful! I have a very complex health history and most of my records are with Boston children's which at the time she could not access. So for the information she was able to access she was very up to date!

Dr Wong needs to learn better social and communication skills. Delivery is awful and doesn't actually hear what the patient is saying because she's too busy stating her perspective- which seems to be rigid.

My experience at Gastroenterolgy was perfect. First, I was escorted into the office early, about ten or fifteen minutes early. The technician was thorough and friendly, and Dr. Wong is professional and friendly, as well. I love Southcoast!
