In order to address growing patient needs, Southcoast Health will file an application for a Notice of Determination of Need (DoN) with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for approval to expand access to advanced oncology treatment by reactivating a linear accelerator at 206 Mill Road, Fairhaven.
Southcoast Health is seeking DPH approval to reactivate a dormant linear accelerator that was recently decommissioned, so that Southcoast Health can offer oncology services through two linear accelerators on-site at its Cancer Center. This is intended to be a cost-effective approach to enhance care and access for its patients and community.
We remain committed to providing high quality care in the greater South Coast community.
Southcoast Health will hold a community forum concerning the proposed health care project outlined above and we welcome your input so we can ensure community stakeholders are heard and represented in this proposal.
The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th at 5:30pm, 206 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA.
