About Stacey Knox, MD
Stacey Knox, MD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She then attended Marshall University School of Medicine where she completed her Master of Science in Biomedical Science with a specialization in Anatomy and furthered her degree to a Doctor of Medicine. She completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago and her residency at the University of Maryland.
She believes in treating each patient with dignity and compassion. Within her clinical specialty, she works hard to abide by the Golden Rule, treat each patient as you would like to be treated. She treats her patients with respect and considers being a woman a special superpower.
Dr. Knox’s style of care was greatly influenced by her relationship with a former patient during her treatment for ovarian cancer. Through this process she learned about the importance of forming a meaningful connection with each patient and that even a small gesture can have a large impact on her patients’ emotional wellbeing. She prides herself on patient care beyond their diagnosis.
Dr. Knox has had a relationship with Southcoast Health for over 20 years as a surgeon and Obstetrician at St. Luke’s Hospital. Due to her special interest in female anatomy, she is now focusing her practice on gynecology and pelvic surgery.
When not working, Dr. Knox enjoys riding horses and traveling the world with her family. She has combined her passion for travel and medicine, in the past, by volunteering in Rwanda working with a group of Urogynecologists to teach prevention and treatment of obstetrical fistulas.

Dr Knox makes you feel comfortable and educated about what is going on with you

The only complaint was that the wait (both in the waiting room and again in the exam room) were too long.

I have been seeing Dr. Knox for over 17 years. She has always listened to all of my concerns and has done her best to try to find a favorable solution for me. Going to see her is like going to see a friend.
I've never waited more than 10 minutes for my appointment and Dr. Stacey Knox is very knowledgeable and compassionate and enjoy going into this facility.
Dr. Knox is an outstanding provider. From the start of the visit through the end she is a comfort. She makes the visits feel like you're hanging out with your best friend. She is knowledgeable, caring and her smile makes you feel like you're the most important patient. I have had two visits twice this year with her and she always makes them go smoothly and never rushes you if you have questions. More practices need a Dr.Knox! Keep up the great work! Best GYN!
Dr. Knox and her staff are always prompt on time and they take care of their patients, period. I have been going to Dr. Knox for a good five to six years now and never once has there been a bad experience, period. She is courteous. She always listens and is always willing to tell you the best care. She is much appreciated.

Dr Knox was wonderful - very easy to talk to, and very clear with explanations.
She was a great listener, kind, did not convey being in a rush to get to the next appointment, and answered all of my questions.
She was very attentive and listened to what I had to say and discussed everything and my options that would be best for me.
OMG!!!!! I'm sorry I didn't get the young lady's name that took my weight and blood pressure, before I saw the doctor. She is AMAZING. Seriously AMAZING. Also this was my first time seeing Dr.Knox. WOW again. She's absolutely FABULOUS. I had a great appointment. Both lovely ladies.
You wisely hired Dr. Stacey Knox to join your team. She is incredible and I am so grateful I am able to continue with her in this new environment. I do miss the people she worked with at her other office. She did seem a bit rushed - so your company may need to give providers more time to see their patients. She is an incredible doctor.

Dr Knox is the best OBGYN I've ever had, from having a terrible previous experience with another provider at another office, and compared to hearing from other women's experiences. She has been a saving grace and always makes me feel safe, comfortable and heard- she makes all the difference. SouthCoast was lucky to get her! I would have followed her anywhere :)
