About Jonelle Raphael MD
Dr. Raphael earned her medical degree from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Mumbai India, where she graduated with distinction in biochemistry. She completed an internal medicine residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston where she also completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care.
Dr. Raphael is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease. Her clinical specialty is pulmonary medicine. Her special interests include COPD, asthma, pulmonary infections, thoracic oncology and critical care.
Dr. Raphael has done past pro bono work with The Catholic Medical Guild of St. Luke and she was a collaborator on the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease project in India, Part of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease.
Dr. Raphael is a member of the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Thoracic Society.

Dr. Raphael really took her time to explain everything to me...no one has ever done that before, as far as Pulmonologists go...she explained it so I understood it. This was my first time seeing her, and she is now my full time Pulmonologist. And, I wasn't rushed in my appointment either. I couldn't have been happier with my visit. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this meant to me after my last visit with a different Pulmonologist.
The doctor listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Also gave me additional information on health classes provided ay the hospital to improve my breathing ! My .B/P was higher than normal and had it checked again to be sure !!
