About Joann Chang MD
Joann Chang, MD earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She then completed her General Internal Medicine Residency through Brown University’s program at Rhode Island Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Chang’s clinical interests include preventative care, complex care management, and mental health.
Dr. Chang chose to become a primary care physician to serve her patients with preventative care. Her personal philosophy of care involves empowering patients to make their best healthcare decisions. Doctor-patient relationships are important to Dr. Chang, and she believes that these healthcare partnerships bring the best possible care.
In her free time, Dr. Chang enjoys reading and practicing yoga.

Very timely response to same day lab work.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Chang, so some of these questions should have had an option for "N/A". She was wonderful. I am very pleased she is my new PCP.

From check in to check out, the staff was kind, compassionate, helpful and friendly. Same goes for Dr. Chang. You never feel rushed or unheard. This has been my experience since day one.

This was my first visit with Dr. Chang and she made me feel totally comfortable. She was very understanding. She wasn't judgmental. She helped me through the problems I had and made me feel good about them and helped me decide what to do about them.
I went in for an issue. She wasn't going to examine the issue until I had to advocate for myself and request that she do an examination. She was just quick to make a referral.
I waited 30 minutes for the appointment to start. That's my only complaint. Dr. Chang is the best.
