About Rose Shorter MD
Dr. Rose Shorter completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Rose then continued her medical expertise earning her Doctorate’s degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York. She then finished her residency at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Shorter was inspired to become a physician with the desire to be of service to the world and the drive to understand how and why things work. She says patients who have suffered incredible loss, pain and unthinkable challenges and still show up to their life bravely asking, what is next, also inspire her.
Outside of work, Dr. Shorter is passionate about raising her family, running, reading, cooking and playing the saxophone.

Dr Shorter is great. Never rushed. Is always just focused on me. The young lady that did my BP etc was very kind and sweet. I think her name was Skyler.

I was meeting my primary for the first time. She was very friendly and thorough. She made me feel at ease. She took her time with me. She made sure that she covered everything that I wanted to. She ordered tests for me that were required. I like Dr. shorter very much. She is the best primary I've had and she is my third. The first one left the company the second one retired.

It was not a long wait. The medical assistant that I had was training and she was learning and she was good at it. Then Dr shorter came in right after that and as always she's friendly and thorough and always concerned about how I'm feeling and I have done well and she was happy with it
Rose Shorter is an excellent provider; she always listens to my concerns and takes her time to make me feel comfortable. She never makes me feel as if I don't matter or that my concerns aren't valid. She is more than just a provider; she is more than medicine!
Dr Shorter is always well- versed on my test results and ready with suggestions to remedy any results that might be out of the normal range. Thorough in her exam as well. Professional and engaging.

Check in was smooth and pleasant. The nurse was polite, attentive, thorough and joyful performing her duties. She listened well and heard handled herself professionally,Dr Shorter is a truly compassionate Dr always trying to help me get to the bottom of my health concerns and kind and compassionate. Ordering tests and her follow up is always thorough. I come from Sandwich and it is worth the 25 minutes to get there to receive TRULY professional health care!Thank you!!

Impressed. It is difficult when switching to a provider that your research on a Dr. is in your best interest. Choosing Dr. Rose Shorter was reassuring and I am looking forward to having her and working with her advice on keeping me healthy. The whole process at Rosebrook in Wareham is organized, professional, and efficient. One thing that stood out is with checking in at main desk the person says, "Welcome to our practice." What?
