About Andrea Pickup-Simonin NP
Andrea started her higher education at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went on to earn her Associate of Science in Nursing at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Collaborative A.S.N Program in Medford, Massachusetts. After working for 10 years as a nurse she returned to school and graduated with her master’s in nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences University in Worcester, MA in 2017.
Her clinical interests include family medicine, primary care, women’s health and working with the pediatric/adolescent population and LGBTQIA+ care.
Andrea’s personal philosophy of care includes providing evidence-based medical care that is preventative and accounts for one’s physical, emotional, spiritual, social and cultural well-being. She believes in the importance of mutual respect in her interactions with her patients. She believes in the integral role of integrating lifestyle changes and complimentary medicine to manage health to achieve optimal individual health.
When not at work, Andrea enjoys the outdoors, meditation, yoga, traveling, and seeking new adventures with family and friends.

The NP Andrea was so good and attentive with me I felt so comfortable. I leave the office feeling like she did care about me. Andrea you are above and beyond you know how to take care of your patients.
The office staff were very pleasant. The medical assistant/nurse that saw me before Andrea was so nice, there should be more like her. Andrea listened to all of my concerns and questions. She explained everything and I didn't feel rushed. I'm so happy to have a PCP that listens and helps me with my needs.

Checking in to my appointment was easy, the staff was friendly.Andrea Pickup-Samonin was wonderful it was a new patient visit, she asked a lot of questions took the time to listen to my responses , she's great!
My experience already got off to a good start as soon as I got to the secretary. She was extremely friendly (I forgot her name), and I felt very comfortable and in good hands with my new nurse practitioner Andrea. I sensed a genuine, kind vibe from her and she listened and cared about my needs. I told her I was looking for a woman gynecologist and psychiatrist and she is working on setting appointments for me already!
This was my first appointment with this provider so most of the time we were familiaring her with my background and my history with my former PCP who retired, as well as other specialists I am seeing. She was very attentive and seemed like she was interested in knowing my history and challenges.

Andrea is a great provider. She actually listens and just this is more than enough for me. I love that she was prepared for me with my questions and concerns. I also had to bring my very energized toddler son but she was still personable with him and did not make it uncomfortable for me.

Andrea is always very comfortable to talk with about any concerning body issue that I'm having, as far as whatever I'm going in to be treated for. She's a good teacher, she's very reassuring, she's supportive, and she uses humor as a way of helping me to feel more comfortable about uncomfortable topics.
