About Samantha Roy, FNP-C
Samantha earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in Dartmouth, Ma. She them went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and in building a trusting patient-provider relationship. She feels that these two components are necessary to help patients achieve positive outcomes.
Her personal relationships with nurses and nurse practitioners were a big inspiration to her having become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She admires the way they encompassed a trusting relationship and the wealth of knowledge they always seemed to have.
To her, being a nurse practitioner allows her to be able to treat patients across the lifespan, she believes it fosters a trusting long-term patient-provider relationship.
Samantha grew up and has family in the south coast. She started her nursing career right here at Southcoast Health while in nursing school. She then continued at Southcoast, upon graduating, as an RN. Today, she continues as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog. Together they enjoy spending time in the outdoors, boating, hiking, and skiing.

Samantha Roy was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. She listened to my concerns and explained in depth what was available at the Rosebrook facility. I am a new patient since my PCP retired, so this was the first appointment to become a patient to a new doctor, [Name] [Name]. Samantha is an NP under Dr. [Name].
The office and staff were 100% on top of things. Very nice and explained things in laymens terms. The only not satisfying part is that they don't answer there portal messages even though it says reviewed by staff they don't answer

Sam was great. She was easy to talk to, and was open to considering my suspicions about my problem. She also took the time to review past tests to see if the scores changed over time and if they did the implications.

It took 5 days to get an appointment at all. You seem to have staffing issues.
