About Kristen Cummings, NP
Kristen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth College of Nursing in Dartmouth, Ma. She then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois.
She is an active member of the Massachusetts coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Her belief is that each of her patient’s needs to be treated as unique individuals and in line with their personal beliefs and goals. She develops a patient’s treatment plan collaboratively with the patient and together they work towards the patient’s personal goals.
Seeing the negative impact obesity has on many areas of a patient’s health is what inspired Kristen to work in Medical Weight Management. She finds it extremely rewarding to be able to assist a patient in battling this disease and in doing so helping prevent and reverse other obesity related illnesses.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking and staying fit.
