About John Cava, MD
Dr. Cava graduated cum laude at New York University before completing his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J., with Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society honors. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New England Medical Center and a fellowship in Cardiology at Deaconess Hospital in Boston, via Harvard Medical School.
Formerly an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Cava has expertise in the areas of Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular medicine and Lipidology.
Dr. Cava is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He is a clinical instructor or medicine at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.

Dr. Cava took time to explain why he was prescribing a new medication, what side effects to watch for, and what he would do if I had intolerable side effects. He is always very polite and knowledgable.

Great service from the check in lady , to the Doctors aide , checking my blood pressure and temps . Dr . Cava was extremely professional, going over my health charts and allowing me to ask questions. Arranging my next appointment and with lab work requests to check my Cholesterol levels . Always an awesome visit .
