Episode 29:

With a professional team dedicated to participant well-being, Happy Health Center offers a broad range of services designed to meet the needs of adults 18 and older – whether living with disabilities, enjoying their senior years, or simply seeking a supportive daytime setting.

My Brother’s Keeper (@keeperma) returns to the Southcoast Health Community Spotlight with Fun 107!
They are a local nonprofit rooted in compassion and service with locations in Dartmouth and Easton that deliver essential items like food, furniture, and holiday gifts to families in need, all with the help of over 5,000 volunteers annually.
Their Southcoast Soirée fundraiser is coming up on Friday, October 3. Hear from My Brother’s Keeper director, Josh Smith as he shares more about the growing need and how you can get involved!

The YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts is where youth empowerment and leadership take center stage. This fall, they are celebrating their 14th annual Women of Distinction event, honoring local women making a quiet but powerful impact in their communities. In this episode, FUN107 met with Elliot Farm in Lakeville. They are a family-run farm growing fresh, local produce and a community along the way. With help from their nonprofit partner, the Farm and Community Collaborative (F&CC), they make sure families in need have access to healthy fruits and vegetables through the Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) programs and food bank donations.

Founded in 1843, Child & Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the well-being of children and families in our community through mental health services, adoption programs, and family strengthening initiatives. The organization is built on the belief that strong families are essential for thriving communities.
Today, Child & Family Services is one of the largest and most comprehensive social service providers in southeastern Massachusetts and the largest provider of adoption services in Massachusetts. The agency also operates three Community Behavioral Health Centers(CBHCs) located in New Bedford, Fall River, and Plymouth, each offering 24/7 Mobile Crisis services, 365 days a year.

Walt’s Mobile Closet is dedicated to creating an inclusive community where everyone feels respected and supported, no matter their background or identity. With a strong focus on serving the local area, the organization strives to make a meaningful difference. Partnering with other groups along the South Coast, they offer free clothing to those in need.
The name honors Founder and Executive Director Whitney Tully’s father, Walter, who had a deep love for beautiful clothing and always strived to look his best, whether tending to his expansive garden or working on his cherished Corvette.
