Southcoast Health is a not-for-profit, community-based health system providing exceptional care in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our integrated healthcare system spans more than 55 locations, including three trusted hospitals — Charlton Memorial in Fall River, St. Luke’s in New Bedford, and Tobey in Wareham. We offer a robust network of urgent care centers, physician practices, outpatient surgery centers and specialized facilities like the Southcoast Health Cancer Care locations. Delivering care as an integrated network ensures patients receive the right care at the right time.

Choosing the right hospital or doctor involves many factors, including quality metrics. To ensure accurate comparisons, check that:
- Measures use the same scale (e.g., infections per 1,000 patients).
- Results are presented in the same format (e.g., numbers vs. percentages).
- Scoring systems are consistent (e.g. combined scores being much lower than individual scores which themselves may show as high)
