ACS NAPBC

We are proud to announce that Southcoast Health has once again attained National Accreditation from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer (NAPBC).

As an NAPBC accredited institution, Southcoast Health has also become an ACS Surgical Quality Partner, signifying our dedication to consistently improving procedures and approaches to breast cancer care and ensuring that our patients are receiving the highest standards of surgical safety and quality.

“Earning NAPBC reaccreditation is a reflection of our team’s unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality breast cancer care,” said Maureen Chung, MD, PhD, Medical Director of the Southcoast Health Breast Care Program. “It affirms that our patients are receiving nationally recognized, evidence-based care, delivered with compassion, precision, and a true multidisciplinary approach. This milestone is something our entire community can be proud of.”

Receiving this reaccreditation from the NAPBC means our breast center has met rigorous national standards for providing high-quality, comprehensive breast care. This includes ensuring that patients receive seamless care coordination, access to state-of-the-art technologies, patient navigation services, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

We are honored to receive this distinction, and even more proud to provide our community with the level of care they deserve.
