Southcoast Health Expands Care Teams with Addition of Four Physicians and Three Advanced Practice Practitioners

Southcoast Health is pleased to announce that the not-for-profit community health system welcomed four new physicians and three advanced practice providers. They are joining the cardiac electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, hematology and oncology, infectious diseases, obstetrics and gynecology, otolaryngology, and vascular surgery specialties.

Claire Faltermeier, MD, PhD | Cardiothoracic Surgery

Claire Faltermeier, MD, PhD obtained her Doctor of Medicine and her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of California. She now joins Southcoast Health Heart & Vascular caring for patients in Fall River.

Michelle Hoffman, CNM | Obstetrics & Gynecology

Michelle Hoffman, CNM obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She now joins Southcoast Health Obstetrics & Gynecology seeing patients in New Bedford.

Ipsita Kadam, PA-C | Otolaryngology

Ipsita Kadam, PA-C obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She now joins Southcoast Health Otolaryngology (ENT) seeing patients in Fall River and Dartmouth.

Angela McLaughlin, MD, MPHTM | Infectious Diseases

Angela McLaughlin, MD, MPHTM obtained her dual Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through the Tulane School of Medicine and the Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She now joins Southcoast Health Infectious Diseases seeing patients in Fall River. 

Ruwan Y. Parakrama, MD, MS | Hematology & Oncology

Ruwan Y. Parakrama, MD, MS, obtained his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He now joins Southcoast Health Cancer Care seeing patients in Fall River and Fairhaven.

Tenes J. Paul, DO | Cardiac Electrophysiology

Tenes J. Paul, DO obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He now joins Southcoast Health Heart & Vascular caring for patients at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Nicholas Wood, PA-C | Vascular Surgery

Nicholas Wood, PA-C obtained his Master of Physician Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester. He now joins Southcoast Health Heart & Vascular seeing patients in Dartmouth.
