About Zoe Vazquez, MD
Dr. Zoe G. S. Vazquez earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She then went on to complete both a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Vazquez specializes in pulmonary and critical care and has clinical interests in cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary vascular disease, and critical care medicine.
Medicine allowed Dr. Vazquez to combine her interest in science with her passion to help others. In this field, she developed a strong interest in pulmonary/critical care medicine as she enjoyed caring for high-acuity patients in the ICU. Dr. Vazquez follows the philosophy of care that every patient regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status deserves access to health care. She also believes in the importance of empowering patients by teaching them as much as possible about their health, medical conditions and medications.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vazquez enjoys cooking, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She loves that Southcoast Health provides people living in Southeastern Massachusetts access to top-notch healthcare in their community without having to travel to Boston.

Very positive experience starting with the greeting at the check in desk. This was followed by the nurse taking my vitals; [Name]. She was positive, upbeat and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Vasquez was an excellent doctor. She was a careful listener and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. Her personality is warm and understanding with clear communication.
The attending physician, Zoe Vasquez, was very attentive. She listened to the problems I was experiencing and why I was in. She offered viable solutions and a timely follow-up for my problem. So I was very pleased with my meeting with her today. The receptionist that I saw outgoing was very helpful, very friendly, giving me a listing of everything that had taken place that day, upcoming appointments and tests that have to be run. She was very, very thorough and I was very pleased with the service.
