About Tushar Kumar MD
Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a residency in radiation oncology at Wayne State University, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Kumar has conducted research in nano-radio sensitizers and published articles in a number of cancer journals. He has extensive experience in high-dose rate and low-dose rate brachytherapy for a variety of cancers.
Dr. Kumar is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Radium Society and American Brachytherapy Society.
Dr. Kumar is board certified in radiation oncology.

My care provider explained everything to me in a way i could understand.
Both of my visits, by Dr Kumar & Dr [Name] were very informative. They both explained all the information I needed to make a decision on future choices. However, each visit left me waiting for at least 30 minutes to be seen. I realize the work they do is very serious and time must be taken with each individual.

When you go there you're kinda nervous. The receptionist [Name] takes the fear away with kindness. She explained everything in detail. Then you meet the rest of the crew and you begin to feel very comfortable. Everyone in there goes above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience. They were all great.

Everyone was kind and compassionate. I was going through radiation for breast cancer. I did not like having a man in the radiation room. Women should not be subject to that when going through treatment for breast cancer. It made me feel uncomfortable.
