About Tina Charest MD
Dr. Charest earned her medical degree from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, where she also served as a clinical research assistant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a research assistant in the Women’s Health in Emergency Care Program. She completed her residency in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in Pawtucket, R.I.
Dr. Charest has engaged in a number of volunteer efforts, including serving since 2007 as an interviewer at Brown University, interviewing students who applied to attend Brown University’s undergraduate program.
She has discussed women’s health on local radio, and also served as a patient advocate for an expectant mother during medical school. Dr. Charest enjoys swimming, fishing, and water skiing as well as cooking and reading.

Dr. Charest has always treated me with respect and compassion and addressed my issues with a high level of excellence, answering questions and explaining things in an easily understandable way. I'm blessed to have her as my primary.
Dr Charest is patient and caring. She always takes the time to address my needs. For this visit the nurse was going to schedule me with a different provider and Dr Charest went out of her way to make sure I had an appointment with her. She is always cognizant with my mental health as well as my physical well being. It is hard to find a doctor with as much knowledge as she has with also the ability to explain to a patient in a delicate way and make complex medical terms simple for patients to have true understand of their health care needs. I hope Southcoast knows how much of an asset she is.
