About Susan Kim MD
Dr. Kim earned her medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the Boston University Medical Center in Boston, and completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Before joining Southcoast, she was a hospitalist at Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Kim has done research at the Tufts Medical Center Human Nutrition Research Center and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for Cancer Research and Department of Biology. She was the recipient of a national Nutrition Research Center/USDA Pilot Project Grant to study obesity-associated colorectal cancer.
She is board certified in hematology and medical oncology.

I have been treated with respect and dignity everytime I'm there. The staff is very knowledgeable about the chemo medications and consistently monitors me. Very friendly. My doctor knows and understands my medical condition and needs. She is wonderful!
Great customer care
I first met Dr Kim when I was in the hospital. Very pleasant easy to talk to. At my follow-up appt was my first time at the office. Everyone was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for all of your help

There are not enough superlatives to describe how much I love this practice.From making appointments, to checking in, timely lab work and being checked in by the medical technician everything runs so smoothly!And Dr. Kim is amazing….. she listens intently, offers advice and is quick to order follow up appointments and labs.She even walked me down to the treatment area.This Cancer Center is truly amazing.As a patient you feel valued and listened to.So grateful to be connected to this center.

Dr. Kim has been great throughout my cancer diagnosis to follow up treatment. I couldn't have had a better doctor. She is always upbeat and positive when I come for my appointments. Southcoast Health has the best providers in my opinion.

Every staff member and volunteers are amazing. Going through cancer treatment is both scary and stressful. I was always treated with great care and compassion. Myself and my husband cannot say enough great things about the Cancer Center. I am also a Southcoast Employee!.
