About Sonia DeAraujo NP

Sonia DeAraujo graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She then furthered her expertise by graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree in Nursing – Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Sonia is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and her clinical interests include adult internal medicine, preventative medicine, oncology, and hematology. In addition, Sonia is fluent in Portuguese.

Sonia’s personal philosophy of care is centered around providing a holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered approach by caring for her patient’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and mental well-being. She believes that taking the time to listen to patient concerns and subsequently providing them with education and knowledge is key to managing disease and preventing future illness. Ultimately, Sonia wants to help people be the happiest and healthiest version of themselves.

When not at work caring for her patients, Sonia enjoys spending time with family, summers at the beach, resistance training, running and traveling.
