About Robert Schwengel MD, FACC
Dr. Schwengel has been in the practice of general and invasive cardiology with Cardiovascular Associates of Rhode Island since 1993. He received his doctor of medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science in Washington.
Dr. Schwengel completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Dr. Schwengel is board certified in cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography and stress echocardiography. He has special interests in coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr Swengel has been literally lifesaving for me and has contributed significantly to my quality of life for almost two decades. I respect him, like him, and trust him implicitly— Indeed, with my life. He works very well with my team of doctors and is a sage leader amongst them. His staff is great, too.
Dr.Schwengel explained everything to me and recommended a larger quantity of pills for my prescription to save me time in getting refills. I was happy to have another appointment in one year!
