About Megan Manny NP
Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as her Master of Science Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
She truly believes in patient-centered care, which means that as a provider she puts herself in her patients’ shoes to better understand their concerns, situation, fears, and current understanding of the matter at hand.
She feels that sitting with her patients and allowing them to explain what is happening in their own words is something she enjoys doing and believes it not only helps improve the communication between patient and physician, but allows her to tailor explanations to a patient’s concerns in a way that they fully understand; with better understanding comes the empowerment to make informed decisions.
She believes that this small gesture goes a long way in building trust with her patients.
Megan’s own pediatric practitioner, who cared for her and her siblings for over 15 years, was the inspiration behind her deciding to become a Nurse Practitioner herself. The ability to form long relationships with patients and families is what made her decide to go into primary care.
To her, Southcoast Health means being able to directly and positively impact the community she lives in.
When not at work, Megan enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her husband and their dog.

Megan Manning is a great NP but I always have problems with medication renewals from this office. So even though this day I had no problems I've had many last month, so there is some disconnect at this office I've spoken to the manager but nothing seems to change it s just gotten worse.

You performed well in every area
I was happy to get into see a NP at any Southcoast facility. It helped me avoid Urgent Care and get the treatment I needed when I needed it. Megan was pleasant and informed and all the staff were very kind.
