About Marvin Berman MD
Board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Berman has been practicing in Fall River for more than 20 years and has been on staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital since 1989.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at University Hospital in Boston. He received his training in gastroenterology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He was an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He lectures at Brown University and teaches at Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Berman has a special interest in liver disease and has published widely on this topic as well as other gastrointestinal conditions. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr Berman was excellent. Waiting room cramped for someone who is immunocompromised.

Upon my arrival, I was welcomed by a pleasant knowledgeable receptionist. Within a few minutes I was escorted to an examination room by a kind medical assistant who treated me with concern, kindness, and respect.Dr. Berman is one of my all time favorite doctors. He patiently listens to you, offers advice, and provides solutions.
