About Marivyl Laxer MD
Dr. Laxer earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She completed residencies in internal medicine at Makati Medical Center in the Philippines and at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.
She also completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Makati Medical Center, Philippines.
Dr. Laxer is board-certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Bristol South Medical Society. Dr. Laxer is fluent in the Philippine language.

On time appointment
Doctor Laxer is brilliant, and intuitive. She spends as much time as needed and she is very caring. She listens with compassion, and I never feel that she is rushing, though she is extremely efficient. She does not wast words, and thoroughly explains my medications. I feel so lucky to have Dr. Laxer as my Primary Care physician.

Sometimes , it seems, I'm not giving the time to be heard, if I ask about other health questions that may not pertain to the present health issues I'm experiencing at my appointment.
After completing vital check by assistant in the room it took more than 1 hour (60 minutes) to see the provider in the room ( wait time in the waiting room was less than 15 minutes).
