About Marina Haghighat MSN, FNP-BC
Marina Haghighat, MSN, FNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She then furthered her medical education by obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Marina was inspired to pursue medicine by her grandfather, a compassionate family physician who left a lasting impact. Then her experience caring for patients in acute settings sparked a passion for preventative care that led her to pursue a career in primary care. This field allows her to build long-term relationships while managing a wide range of conditions through evidence-based care.
She believes in a holistic, collaborative approach to patient care. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel empowered and actively involved in their health decisions.
Marina began her healthcare career at Southcoast Health as a CNA and later she served patients across the system as a registered nurse. Now, she is pleased to return as a provider and is excited to continue caring for the community alongside a familiar and supportive team.
Outside of work, Marina enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and spending time with loved ones.

The nurse I spoke with, [Name] went out of her way to get me an appointment. [Name] the intake nurse was wonderful, and Dr. Marina was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and kind. The only bad thing about the appointment was the parking lot. :)
Everything was fine. The only bad part is getting appointments earlier.Need. MRI and other tests and thinking it would be next week I find there 3 or 4 months away
The reason I gave a 10 is because whenever I call Dr [Name] Office for a medical issue I have received an appt that day or the next day. There are not many offices that accommodate you like this office. Mariana explained everything. So glad I have the best primary care team at Dr [Name] office.
They listened carefully to what I said. They offered advice about ways to help myself.

All office staff very friendly, helpful. Dr and Nurse Practitioner both friendly, helpful and informative about meds and test results. Dr and Practitioner take the time to listen to what you have to say. Awesome Team and Team work by all.
This provider listens and considers my input knowing how my body feels. She doesn't minimize or disregard my concerns. Both her and Dr. [Name] have been great. It was and is nice having physicians that are committed to help even rare situations. That was not my experience with another practice. It caused me unnecessary suffering. Since switching,I still am not yet where I would like to be. My symptoms are complex..However, I have already seen a difference and feel there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The front girls, when you first come in, like probably the secretaries, are the sweetest, nicest that you can ever have in a doctor's office. And also the nurse I spoke to when I called because I was sick was also, I think her name is [Name] She was also very, very wonderful.
Marina was very helpful especially with medication and other home care options which we did follow-up with. Marina was excellent.

NP Marina was great and actually took time to call me , which is really a first since Dr [Name] retired
[Name] was very pleasant and really listened to what was going on with me. She did my testing during the rooming process to help expedite the provider seeing me. Marina really listened to my concerns and the information I provided her. I never felt rushed and feel like all my needs were met. This was my first time seeing this provider and I would definitely see her again.
I was taken in very quickly when we called because I was ill. The doctor paid close attention to what I said and spent a lot of time asking me questions and checking my blood pressure twice, etc. Developed a plan, which I'm on. And so I've got prednisone and then I can add the antibiotic tomorrow because I'm not feeling better.
She was extremely helpful.

This is my first time in that office and with that provider for an urgent care appointment that my primary care physician's office had set up for me and she was an excellent provider. I would go to Marina again for any need that I had.
I'm always treated with respect and courtesy from my provider. I was having a really difficult time getting to my appointment on time and the office told me not to worry about it, they would see me when I got there. Even know I was late, I waited less than 5 minutes to be called in to see my provider.
Marina listened to my concern and discussed possible reasons for the discomfort in my lower abdomen. She has scheduled an ultrasound to rule out a hernia. I was told to continue to use Ibuprofen for times of discomfort. She was very attentive to my concerns

The NP was very kind and caring. She was listened to what I was trying to say and was able to diagnose me and send prescriptions to my pharmacy and I was able to pick them up and stop my treatment.
This nurse care manager along with a partner nurse care manager were incredible. They were just, they followed through with everything and it was a great experience as always with South Coast.
Always professional, always caring, always diligent
The nurse practitioner was great explaining things. The nurse or assistant that walked me in and did vitals was also great with their care. Reception is not consistent with their approach when you come in,sometimes good ,sometimes great ,sometimes not so good.
