About Lauren Waters PA-C
Lauren Waters, PA-C earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Psychology from Worcester State University in Worcester, MA. She continued her medical education and obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.
As a Physician Assistant specializing in neurosurgery, Lauren is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients facing some of the most complex and life-changing diagnoses. Her philosophy of care centers on clear communication, patient education, and emotional support — ensuring every patient feels heard, understood, and involved in their treatment journey.
Lauren was drawn to her career through her passion for hands-on clinical work and critical thinking in complex care environments. During her surgical and critical care rotations, she was drawn to neurosurgery because of the field’s complexity, collaborative nature, and the profound impact it can have on patients and families. She finds it deeply rewarding to support individuals through both critical interventions and long-term recovery.
She believes that combining clinical precision with empathy is essential to achieving the best outcomes — especially in a specialty where patients are often navigating high-stakes, life-changing diagnoses.
Outside of work, Lauren is passionate about staying active and giving back. She ran the Boston Marathon in memory of her late uncle, a firefighter who passed away from a glioblastoma, raising funds for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund. She also enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and spending time near the water, as well as participating in community health initiatives.
A strong believer in lifelong learning and cultural exchange, she has taken part in medical travel programs in Greece and Belize.

My first visit with Lauren Walter's and if I could rate her a 10 I would. Extremely knowledgeable & professional. I had a lot of questions & she took the time to answer each one. Made me feel totally comfortable in her presence. Definitely an asset to Southcoast!
Greeted as soon as i came in. The receptionist asked me quietly what my address and phone number, etc, were so that no one else could hear (important to me) Lauren brought me in from waiting room and was friendly, smart, bright and well informed about my case. She explained what she thought about my issues and we formulated a plan together. I felt respected as a nurse and a patient and spoken to like a normal person on a down to earth level. She did a thorough exam while making sure I understood and agreed with everything we decided. Grateful.

Took a while to get in office with a appointment, but once seen was fabulous feel like they're is hope with my condition.Been very scared and in pain for awhile with limited mobility Fingers crossed someone is finally helping to resolve this

i liked the way she listened to my issues and did her best and prescribed me medication that will help with my issue and scheduled MRI to fine out whats happening and told me if it got worst in the meantime to go to the ER or to call her she was very attentive to my issues very satisfied how she handled things thank you lauren waters

The provider I saw was excellent. However, the staff who checked me in was rude and I did not appreciate her attitude. It was a negative to my experience.
