About John Carroll MD
Dr. Carroll is co-Chief of Urology for Southcoast Hospitals.
He earned his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed an internship and residencies in Surgery and Urology at New England Medical Center in Boston, where he served as chief resident in Urology.
He has special interest and expertise in urologic oncology, urolithiasis and pediatric urology and women’s incontinence. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic urology procedures.
He is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Urology at Tufts University School of Medicine where he has received an “Excellence in Teaching” award.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.

Was greeted by the staff very welcoming. I was brought into the exam room by the medical assistant right away. She was very friendly and listened to my concerns. She assisted in getting me into a new primary care doctor in the Southcoast Health system. DR Carroll came in and explained what was happening and explained my surgery very clearly. He arranged an appointment with Dr [Name] pre surgery. Very happy with my whole visit.
Dr Carroll is awesome, knowledgeable and a great personality that allows him to easily relate to his patients. I am very happy and grateful to have him as my urologist!!
The staff and doctor Carroll were absolutely superb! We had a few issues (elderly mom) who had to use the restroom and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional! Much thanks to them!!! Doctor Carroll was very knowledgeable and caring with excellent care!!

Dr Carroll explained in detail what I was questioning. He was really concerned and went over my records in full with explanations of my previous findings. He made me feel comfortable that if I ever need to be seen he will always be there for me and should I need testing to just call the office so they can put it in the system

Dr Carroll is an exceptional physician. I have known him for many years having worked with him when he came to Saint Anne's. So when I needed to see a urologist for an issue I was having he was my choice. Dr Carroll and his staff have been fantastic!

I've had many kidney issues the last few months. It's embarrassing even though necessary to have to have emergency care and everytime with my urologist( Dr. Carroll and his team)they have made me feel heard and validated.
The doctor was understanding, made me feel comfortable. He explained my problem and what I should do about it.
Dr. Carroll was thorough, kind, gracious, explained everything, and I was seen early. It was a 10 out of 10 experience.

Doctor and staff were apparently not aware or did not ask that I was being assisted by VN HH and did not provide an order for those nurses to assist me which would have helped me over a weekend with signigificant problems with my catheter (re-inserted by ER dept.) Visiting nurses could not help me due to no order being placed by provider.
Yes, the thing I like about Dr. Carroll is he is very aware of my family history and always takes extra care to make sure that I feel comfortable about what he's going to do and how he follows up on my requests in terms of watching my health for cancer as it runs rapid in my family. I think he's excellent. I've had him for so long and I wouldn't trade him or go to another doctor. He's very good. Thank you.

The entire office was wonderful from the beginning being brought water(I use a walker )instead just telling me where the water dispenser is to the help with the doors, hanging up my coat for me and patiently going through my med list. The LPN could not have been better and the doctor had a wonderful sense of humor. The phlebotomist there made what could have been unpleasant a delight.

I had to wait about 35 to 40 minutes to be seen by the provider and was almost late fir work.

Dr Carroll is the best
My entering into the building, I had assistance and my checking in went smoothly with the front desk staff. The only thing I can of is when you see your client being dropped out with a transportation van , and your are running late on , your clients being seem , just let them know , so they can reschedule pickup time.
