About Erika Mello, DO
Dr. Mello earned her bachelor’s degree at Oberlin College in Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in New Jersey and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut in internal medicine.
Dr. Mello is a board certified in internal medicine primary care physician and has over 12 years of experience. Her experience includes both rural and metropolitan medicine, and inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Mello is certified in Medical Acupuncture, has training in osteopathic manipulation and knowledge of alternative therapies, supplementing her western medicine education.
She is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the New England Society of Medical Acupuncture.

It hard to get the right meds cause they cost so much
Dr Mello is amazing! I followed her from her previous location and I couldn't ask for a more caring compassionate Dr. Her nurse [Name] is always wonderful. She listens and genuinely seems to care which is a huge deal for me with all of my problems. The lab techs are great too. The check in check out staff are so nice and friendly and like I said someone like me needs that. I don't think I've ever had a complaint with any of these people been seeing Dr Mello for so long and I couldn't be happier for her leaving the former practice and going to Southcoast Health best move ever. Such a blessing
