About Carolyn Davidson, MD
Carolyn Davidson, MD earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She then completed a combined focus residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and remained at Brown University for her fellowship in cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Davidson is a strong supporter of patient-doctor shared decision making. Reflecting on the care she provides as a doctor, she thinks of her role as a map, showing the best routes for each patient to take to reach their health goals. In her practice, it is important to her that her patients are active participants in their care when deciding on the best treatment options for them. She strives to provide care based on a patient’s entire wellbeing, and not just treating them for the specific disease or illness they have.
Dr. Davidson has a special interest in cardiac imaging, particularly echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
When not at work, she loves to cook, travel, go hiking and trying new food.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Davidson and she was excellent. She actually took her time with me and didn't rush through my appointment. She explained things in a way I was able to understand and made sure I was a part of the decision making in my care. I definitely feel like I'm in good hands with her.

This was my first visit with Dr. Davidson, she is knowledgeable, thorough with the exam, informative and kind. Her staff was also very nice. I was very please with my visit. Dr Davidson listened carefully, reviewed my charts tests and records and discussed and established a practical path forward.

Dr Davidson has terrific listening and keen diagnostic skills. She shares her wide ranging medical knowledge in response to concerns I raise and provides relevant advice.
The office in Providence is an excellent resource for patients of Southcoast cardiology to get "Rhode Island" access to their world class cardiology department.
Well, one thing is she was very concerned about my health. She tried to help give me some kind of options on what I could do to make my health a lot better. She gave me a lot of ideas, which I am going to be taking in consideration. I felt that she did an awesome job talking with me.
Dr Davidson listened to my concerns and addressed each of them by explaining underlying issues and then drew pictures to demonstrate how a-heart works and why it causes symptoms. She made recommendation of how l could alleviate some of my symptoms through nutrition and exercise. She was extremely personable, had a good sense of humor and made me feel I was in good hands. She also assured me she was available to see me if I had any symptoms of concern in the future.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Davidson. She's very respectful and she and her staff treated me like like a human being. She is very informed and she knows what she was talking about. Besides, she made feel relaxed and comfortable.

Very responsive
It took about a few months to get in for my intake appointment following the referral, but it was well worth the wait. Dr. Davidson took her time to go through my presenting concerns and history with me, taking a holistic, whole body approach to the issues at hand. I felt like she took my symptoms seriously, which as a younger patient has been a struggle at times. And we were able to devise a treatment plan that was well explained and feels good for my current needs. The office staff was also lovely. Overall a really positive experience.

Every interaction with every staff person in the cardiology office was positive and they're just lovely people. So much in fact, I came home and my husband transferred his care from the CAD doctor he was seeing to Dr. Davidson. So we are definitely thrilled to be under her care. Thank you so much.
Nothing to improve. Excellent experience. Husband and I new pts. His appt at 8, mine made at a later date for 10.D/t cancellation I was seen immed after him. Dr very pleasant, knowledgeable. Staff very pleasant and courteous. Happy to be in care of this office.

Tho seas my first time here and I absolutely loved it! If I could come here for primary care I would. From the check in desk to the nurse to the Dr to the check out desk. Everyone made me feel valuable and they all LISTENED to me. Often times I feel as though my provider is not listening to me since I am so young, but this Dr, she heard me, understood me. I can tell she loves what she does and does respect her patients. I'm glad I got to meet her and I am actually looking forward to my follow up appointment with her!
