About Carolyn Davidson MD
Carolyn Davidson, MD earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She then completed a combined focus residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and remained at Brown University for her fellowship in cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Davidson is a strong supporter of patient-doctor shared decision making. Reflecting on the care she provides as a doctor, she thinks of her role as a map, showing the best routes for each patient to take to reach their health goals. In her practice, it is important to her that her patients are active participants in their care when deciding on the best treatment options for them. She strives to provide care based on a patient’s entire wellbeing, and not just treating them for the specific disease or illness they have.
Dr. Davidson has a special interest in cardiac imaging, particularly echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
When not at work, she loves to cook, travel, go hiking and trying new food.

The staff was awesome everybody is very friendly there and very professional
There was no one at the information desk at the entrance when I arrived; and no one when I left an hour later. Why is it not staffed? This was extremely frustrating…other than that everything was efficient and friendly.

There was an information desk upon entering, very helpful in a facility that houses many different options for health care. Check in was efficient and appointments appeared to be well scheduled. Waiting areas were not crowded, and you were seen on a timely manner.

From when I entered the building, the staff was extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. When I was in the room, the person who did my EKG was professional and explained each piece to me. When the doctor came in she was able to explain everything to me so I understand. Each person took their time to be so supportive and helpful.

Dr. was very thorough and explained what I needed to do to stay healthy. She asked about my family history and recorded everything. She was very pleasant and cordial.

Excellent visit, on-time, friendly and competent. Visit with Carolyn Davidson felt very much like a simple conversation about my health and a chance for her to understand my situation while also providing helpful information and offering future care.
Both the doctor and her medical assistant provided care and services reflected in my answers to the previous questions.
I have no complaints yet this people are very much concerned about making sure that we feel good. Every one I was in contact with were nice.

This cardiologist definitely presented intelligent and knowledgeable, however, I felt that she lacked empathy and bed side manner. If a patient comes in with an extensive medical history and legitimate concerns based on results of recent tests, it's not the best to respond that "it's not significant."
At Southcoast Health they are very attentive to my needs, excellent professionals and very kind in their treatment.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Davidson and she was excellent. She actually took her time with me and didn't rush through my appointment. She explained things in a way I was able to understand and made sure I was a part of the decision making in my care. I definitely feel like I'm in good hands with her.
