About Barbara Soares MD
Barbara Soares, MD, received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She is also MSCP certified.
Dr. Soares is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the North American Menopause Society. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner.
Her clinical interests include menopause management, hormone replacement therapy and abnormal pap smears.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her three sons.

Dr Soares is wonderful
I woke to a hot water heater leak in my home the morning of my appt. I immediately went to My Chart to ask if I could have my appt changed to a Tele-health visit or reschedule ASAP. A short time later I received a call from Dr Soares office from the medical asst. asking the required questions and within seconds I had the link for the call. This helped me out a great deal and I am grateful to Dr Soares and her team for their help in my time of need!!
