About Arthur Manoli MD
Arthur Manoli III, MD earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to receive fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He also completed a fellowship in hip preservation surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Manoli has a particular interest in the accurate diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of complex hip problems and is experienced in the use of ultrasound-guided injections. He uses the latest minimally invasive techniques including computer assisted “post-less” hip arthroscopy, minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement, computer-navigated total knee replacement and robotic-assisted partial knee replacement surgery.
He was drawn to hip preservation because he feels it is very much a combination of art and science that considers the reconciliation of the patient’s history, symptoms, expectations, physical exam and imaging. Dr. Manoli is committed to patient-centered care, emphasizing the need to thoroughly understand each patient’s unique needs in order to develop a treatment plan tailored to their lifestyles.
His decision to become an orthopedic surgeon was inspired by his father, an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. Throughout medical school, Dr. Manoli found himself consistently drawn to orthopedic studies. It was the opportunity to help identify and fix patients’ underlying problems rather than treat a condition that drew him to this area of care.
Dr. Manoli’s research has been presented internationally and he has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters and scientific presentations. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.
To him, Southcoast Health has all the advantages of a large healthcare network while remaining to be patient centered.
When not treating patients, Dr. Manoli can be found exploring New England with his wife and daughters.

Dr Manoli is great. He listens and then processes the facts to arrive at treatment options. He lets the patient choose.
I waited about 30 minutes to be seen after checking and being taken to an exam room. The MD apologized.for keeping me waiting. I did not mind. He did a good exam and consult and then explained what's going on and my options which I appreciated. Pro active. Got a scheduled MRI and a shot to relive my pain. Happy camper.
It's plainly evident that I need replacement knees. As of several weeks ago, check when I called for an appointment. Not when I got a call back to schedule the appointment.The soonest I could get scheduled for my rt knee is March 2027 !!! 7 months from now. I will be actively looking for a provider (Southcoast health) that could do things in a much more timely manner.The Doctor & staff are 10s. Administrative is 3

Professional and knowledgeable
I love this office the personnel of fantastic. The MAs are wonderful and the doctor is amazing. He takes his time explains to you what he did in surgery shows you photos so that you can clearly understand what he has done and he's listening to you to see how you're feeling and what it is, he can do to help the healing process continue I wouldn't trust anyone else but him for this problem right now thank you

Dr.Manoli , is an outstanding doctor. He listens to your concerns and then talks to you about what can and cannot be done. he looks for the solution to your problems and not just gives you a pill to cover the problem. I highly recommend Dr. Manoli to anyone.

This was a first visit. X-ray tech was very efficient and explained each x-ray. Wait in exam room was a little long for my liking. Meeting with provider was very fruitful and we came to a decision for treatment.

30 minute wait to be seen by the Doctor

First appointment. From the facility reaching out to me to schedule, to my appointment today was smooth sailing!
I was really impressed when he went over the xrays and explained everything to me and asked if I had any questions or concerns.
The wait time is more than an hour. For people in pain that's too much. Also , if you know my diagnosis I want a solution asap, not appointments to repeat the same.
I am very impressed with Dr Manoli and his staff. They were always on time. Explain things well or kind efficient and solved all my medical issues.
My only complaint was the wait. No one ever came back in the room to explain why the dr was behind schedule. I waited approximately 45 to 50 minutes in the room. I actually went and got my husband to have someone with me after a half hour.
Dr. Manoli is wonderful, but the wait time is always extremely long once in the room. Today wasn't too bad at 40 mins. I've waited well over an hour in the past.
