About Andrea Bond

Dr. Bond has been in practice in the specialty of family medicine at the Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I., since 1996.

She earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in family practice at the Brown University Department of Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She is board certified in family practice.

She has a special interest in counseling in the areas of nutrition and exercise, and preventive care.

Dr. Bond is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, and a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society.

  • No need for improvement Great experience

  • My doctor Dr. Bond is just wonderful to me. I got great great help from her. Unfortunately the office never called my prescription in today. So I'm left feeling horrible and not being able to get a medication until tomorrow. And if you'd like to know I also had difficulty with my mammogram. I had it since August the date when I went there for the date that was posted, it wasn't open. So I called the hospital and they said no your appointment is a totally different date. So I was not pleased with that, but I'm very pleased with Dr. Bond.

  • Because of Covid, nurse @ entrance to take temp and inquire as to any symptoms. Most chairs removed from waiting room, all magazines removed. Short wait time. Thought all was handled well.

  • This is my first experience. I'm a new patient. So a lot of the questions I just answered almost we're not applicable, but I found my visit with Dr. Bond very nice. It was a pleasure to meet her. I like her. I look forward to using her as necessary in the future. The secretary was very good or whoever it was the receptions that called me. My only disappointment was that there isn't a number that I can call if I just needed to leave a message, but Dr. Bond said she was going to look into the delay when I called, so I was happy that she was concerned about that. Thank you.

  • In my opinion the televisit was as productive as an in person visit.

  • This was my first tele doc appointment and Dr. Bond initiated it and she has been my doctor for many years. She is friendly lovely compassionate knowledgeable and I can't say enough good things about her.

  • Hard to get through. I called on 3 separate days and there was a busy signal..waited 1/2 hour each time, only to be disconnected. Fortunately, this was not something more important but there are not enough staff to answer phones..Had the same issue w/ southcoast dealing with care for my elderly parents.Doctors are great but need more staffing!

Before she called I was a little leery that communication at a distance would prevent any physical observations she might have made in her examination of me. My concerns were put to rest as my "numbers" told the story and so our visit was easy and successful. Our next planned visit check-up will be in her office and so we can see if our phone visits leave anything lacking.   • I was seen for a tick bite by Dr. Bond, who is not my primary doctor (Dr. [Name] is primary). She saw me on short notice, which I appreciated and gave me the information I needed regarding tick infections. Excellent service - thank you.

  • Dr. Bond always gives you all the time you need when you see her. She explains all medical information in layman's terms so you can follow what she is explaining.

  • This was a tele-visit. I was a little surprised by the call 30 minutes before the scheduled visit to ask some health questions. The caller was courteous though. the call with the doctor went very well for a meeting over facetime.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
