About Andrea Bond

Dr. Bond has been in practice in the specialty of family medicine at the Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I., since 1996.

She earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in family practice at the Brown University Department of Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She is board certified in family practice.

She has a special interest in counseling in the areas of nutrition and exercise, and preventive care.

Dr. Bond is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, and a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society.

  • This was my first experience of a telephone visit from Dr. Bond. Before she called I was a little leery that communication at a distance would prevent any physical observations she might have made in her examination of me. My concerns were put to rest as my "numbers" told the story and so our visit was easy and successful. Our next planned visit check-up will be in her office and so we can see if our phone visits leave anything lacking.   • I was seen for a tick bite by Dr. Bond, who is not my primary doctor (Dr. [Name] is primary). She saw me on short notice, which I appreciated and gave me the information I needed regarding tick infections. Excellent service - thank you.

  • Dr. Bond always gives you all the time you need when you see her. She explains all medical information in layman's terms so you can follow what she is explaining.

  • This was a tele-visit. I was a little surprised by the call 30 minutes before the scheduled visit to ask some health questions. The caller was courteous though. the call with the doctor went very well for a meeting over facetime.

  • I have reviewed my doctor and Linden Tree in the past. This VIRTUAL appointment was so much better. I have waited sometimes close to three hours at Linden Tree. This appointment was made promptly, and my doctor phoned at exactly the appointed time. I really appreciate it!

  • The staff and the doctor listens. They're very friendly. They're knowledgeable. They remember who I am. I'm not a number and I have just switched to them in the past year. And yes, I will stay with them. I'm very happy.

  • This visit was over the phone, but Dr. Bond gave me the information I needed and recommended a specialist for me to see. In less then 24 hrs I have an appointment to see the specialist.

  • Dr. Bond, we did a tele med, a tele health and it was scheduled and the call was made on time. I have no complaints whatsoever. Really liked the experience.

  • Positive feedback: Everyone is learning how to hand off between staff—front desk to PA to Dr—and everyone was friendly and spoke clearly. Suggestion: It wasn’t quite clear to me that someone would call 15mins before the appt, so I missed that call. But was able to call back and it worked out fine. A simple “this is what to expect and when” one page instruction sheet would be really helpful in the future. And more positive feedback: But, please let the team know that it worked fine for me and I appreciated their efforts to make it go smoothly.

  • Due to COVID 19 this was a Facetime appointment. My first ever. I answered how I was treated on the phone by the office staff on first phone call I received. Then on second phone call I got from nurse(?). And then the FaceTime with my Dr. it was a different experience but fine!

  • With the Covid 19 , my annual physical had to be a video phone call. It can’t replace an in person visit but it went very well. We covered everything that I wanted to talk about.

  • Hi. Yes, this is a great experience because we're all in quarantine or whatever. So we did the tele communication through the phone in that so these questions for this survey don't really make much sense, but it was very well organized from the front desk that called to check me in then the The medical assistant called and we went over my vitals and stuff because I had taken them previously and then Dr. Bond called me herself from her cellphone, and we we did face time thing, which was awesome, and I it was a great experience. So I just wanted to let you guys know that but it was fine. Okay. Thank you.

  • Yes. Hi. I would evaluate the staff as excellent. My only complaint, and it's been the same thing for many years at Linden Tree, is you're not seen in a timely fashion. My appointment was for 9:40, and I didn't get in to see my doctor until probably close to 10:30. And as a working person that is kind of inconsiderate. I think or any, anybody for that matter. So if there's something that can be done about being seen more on time, that would be great. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
