About Andrea Bond

Dr. Bond has been in practice in the specialty of family medicine at the Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I., since 1996.

She earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in family practice at the Brown University Department of Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She is board certified in family practice.

She has a special interest in counseling in the areas of nutrition and exercise, and preventive care.

Dr. Bond is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, and a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society.

  • Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

  • Dr. Bond has been my physician for at least 20 years? She is just as engaging, interested, and patient with me via FaceTime as she has been while in-person over all of these years. And I don't have to go to a waiting room. Grateful to Dr. Bond and your technology improvements.

  • Well, I had a pretty quick and easy visit, I was seen about as quickly as could be expected. I got the assistance I needed and all things considered. I didn't have to wait that long to be seen and I was encouraged to get a vaccine while I was there which was really quick and easy. I hadn't been planning to do it that day. But they, it helped me in the end. So, you know what that helps. I guess. The only thing that could have been better was it accidentally took a little too long to get the vaccine shot. But I mean, that's a human error, that just happens. Don't stress over that.

When I told the doctor that both my husband and I had difficulty getting an appointment over some health issues we were experiencing she seemed surprised to hear that. She said she would immediately address this with her staff and felt maybe there was some confusion over covid protocols. My husband was able to be seen that same day.

  • The receptionist was kind and knowledgeable.The interview with the nurse went well - The Doctor was prompt - examination though with proper diagnosis. I am extremely well satisfied with the care I received.

  • Visit was good. I really can't think of any constructive criticism. Oh yeah, there used to be a display at the entrance of how backed up the doctors were that you could use to judge wait time. Then again, there were few patients there so less of an issue.

  • Did take a while to get an appointment for routine physical after original appt. Was cancelled during covid. Didn't have to wait long in the waiting room or patient room. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous.

  • Vaccine clinic was Great and been with the same dr for 17 yrs so like the system a lot.

  • Just want to tell you about an appointment that didn't work! I made an appt for lab work and arrived on time only to be told that I didn't have an appt! The lab attendant refused to draw my blood. "Maybe you forgot to push SAVE"!Why do we need an appt now? I left in a huff! It worked just fine before!

  • My doctor received pertinent information from the specialists to whom I was recommended as they are within the Southcoast Health Family. Dr. Andrea Bond PCP was aware I needed an A1C and I was glad I had it in her office. There was no need for me to go to the lab only needing this number. I appreciate that fact. Dr. Bond knows I try to take care of myself. I have a followup appointment in the fall at which time I will have more inclusive labs ordered. Of course, I have followup appts. with specialists coming up as well.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
