About Andrea Bond

Dr. Bond has been in practice in the specialty of family medicine at the Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I., since 1996.

She earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in family practice at the Brown University Department of Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

She is board certified in family practice.

She has a special interest in counseling in the areas of nutrition and exercise, and preventive care.

Dr. Bond is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, and a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society.

  • First, the nurse who worked with me (I'm very sorry, but I never quite caught her name) took a very thorough history of my injury, and was very respectful. Next, I very much appreciated that Dr. Bond respected my input and understanding of my body, and my background in musculoskeletal anatomy and treatment. I also appreciated that she offered referral to PT for my shoulder (separate issue from today's visit), but respected my wish to treat it myself (I am well versed on how - and highly motivated- to stretch, strengthen, and mobilize the shoulder myself).Thank you, both of you! It was a very pleasant visit.

  • Dr. Bond gets the job done but over the years her bedside manner has decreased and I do feel somewhat intimidated while taking to her. That being said she was able to address all my concerns and I left with a clear plan moving forward.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
