About Charles Shana MD
Specializing in gastroenterology, Dr. Shana is in practice at Truesdale Medical Specialties Associates in Fall River. He is on the active medical staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Shana received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in medicine at the Brown University Medical School Affiliated Hospitals. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in Gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate. He has served as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Shana is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is an elected Fellow member to the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is Chairman of Gastroenterology at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

I had a medical issue that I communicated via the phone, the person from the office took my information with focus and clarity. I heard back quickly with information that Dr. Shana had made a slot for an appointment and I saw him in 2 days. He is very pro active in addressing my issue and reached out to another Southcoast associate and requested information to resolve my situation. I am so lucky to have him as my doctor!!!!!!

Everything went great I explained what was done in AZ and what I needed done now. He looked over my records we talked and have ultra sound test set up and follow up appt. He explained a few things to me and we are on the right track for me.

Meet Dr Shana for first time. He took his time with me asked questions and made me feel like his only patient
I waited almost an hour after my appointment time but the doctor takes a lot of time with his patients and the ones I saw were in much worse shape than myself so I was okay with it. The doctor took time with me too.

Ease of scheduling - Staff was professional from check-in to checking out and scheduling upcoming procedure - all very nice. Dr. Shana was easy to understand, spoke with me about what I should expect and asked if I had any questions, very personable and professional.
