About Kenath Shamir MD
A graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Shamir completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Mich.
He is on the active medical staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he has served as the chairman of the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the medical staff at Charlton Hospital and St. Anne’s Hospital.
Dr. Shamir is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
He is board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Shamir is very busy, but always finds time to "go the extra mile" to help or explain.
Every time I have an appointment I am waiting almost an hour past my scheduled time to see a provider. Just have me come in later if Ill be waiting 45 minutes after my scheduled time. Im taking time out of work to have an appointment
explain properly and knew my health options and explain them well
Dr. Shamir is a terrific PCP! Always takes time to listen without rushing you, answers all questions and concerns in an easy-to-understand way, and when your visit is over, you leave totally happy and satisfied with the results.

Scheduling and being seen in a timely manner was fine. The only issue is the MD could be more empathetic towards the patient and realize that life is hard and health issues are not necessarily the patient's faults
Schedules, on time appointments, reminders, done very well. Some screening staff could be difficult to understand. Overall visit was superior, thorough and pleasant.
The provider , Kenath Shamir MD was very attentive to my needs, extremely professional and yet demonstrating kindness and patience . He's a terrific listener while spending a long time obtaining detailed data with care! He definitely combined " old fashioned school" of patient- physician relationship and modern / scientific approach to patient care!Glad to be under his wings

Dr. Shamir was very professional, attentive to my needs, concerned about my health, and offered extensive opinion, medical opinion, of how I can get myself in better health. He always seemed very concerned, and that comes through in our conversation. And he takes his time understanding and explaining about my health. He's a great doctor.

Just a minor suggestion, when weighing patients the s ale is in the main area rather than the rooms. This is not ideal as I was in work clothes and boots. Would be more practical and accurate if you were weighed in the exam rooms.
He's my first ever PCP. I came from Brazil, so English isn't my first language and I always ask him to explain me the concerns that I have and he does. I am very happy with his listening, and care. I would like to think him for his very good work with me.

Dr. Shamir a very good doctor, very knowledgeable. His bed side manner had improved for the better, over the past 2-years. Prior to 2-years ago his bedside manner was arrogant. Happy to see the improvement.

Dr. Shamir was very informative and he listen to all my questions and answered them so I could understand. It was my first visit with him and I must say he is very personable and informative. I think we hit it off well. He made me feel very comfortable. Right now, I am very happy I chose him for my PCP.
He took his time. He was patient. He took his time to go over my past medical history. He was in no rush. I didn't feel rushed. He was just a nice, kind doctor. And yeah, that's about it.
