About Arthur Manoli MD
Arthur Manoli III, MD earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to receive fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He also completed a fellowship in hip preservation surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Manoli has a particular interest in the accurate diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of complex hip problems and is experienced in the use of ultrasound-guided injections. He uses the latest minimally invasive techniques including computer assisted “post-less” hip arthroscopy, minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement, computer-navigated total knee replacement and robotic-assisted partial knee replacement surgery.
He was drawn to hip preservation because he feels it is very much a combination of art and science that considers the reconciliation of the patient’s history, symptoms, expectations, physical exam and imaging. Dr. Manoli is committed to patient-centered care, emphasizing the need to thoroughly understand each patient’s unique needs in order to develop a treatment plan tailored to their lifestyles.
His decision to become an orthopedic surgeon was inspired by his father, an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. Throughout medical school, Dr. Manoli found himself consistently drawn to orthopedic studies. It was the opportunity to help identify and fix patients’ underlying problems rather than treat a condition that drew him to this area of care.
Dr. Manoli’s research has been presented internationally and he has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters and scientific presentations. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.

When not treating patients, Dr. Manoli can be found exploring New England with his wife and daughters.

When they put you in a room and your appointment is at one time, if it's gonna be a long wait, someone should tell you. The doctor did apologize when I came in I don't know what happened, but it was an hour later.
This was my first visit with this surgeon. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Just had over a 1/2 hour wait to be seen.

I found Dr. Manoli to be a caring and an intelligent provider. He did what he could about my health problem but, ultimately, he was unable to fully resolve my problem and he referred me to another specialist. Dr. Minoli gave an extraordinary amount of time, consideration and focus to the specifics of my hip replacement needs. He evidenced that he used the state of the art blended techniques. He explained the rationale for what he was recommending for my hip in detail. And we had an amazing hour long back and forth team oriented conversation about how to get the best outcome for my surgery. He's one of the best providers I've ever encountered and I've had several surgeries for different things.
