About Tracie Costa NP
Tracie received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in Dartmouth, MA.
Tracie was inspired to become a nurse practitioner after many years of working in an acute setting and seeing the end result.
She considers her philosophy of care to be that of an upstream thinker. If she can get to the root of the problem, many acute and long term diseases can be avoided. It’s not always about which medication can be prescribed, rather it being about the utilization of basics such as nutrition and physical activity. She wants her patients to understand that the care provided comes from a teamwork approach.
To her Southcoast Health means providing quality care to the community. It’s a great place where patients are valued and treated with dignity and respect.
When not at work, she likes to travel with her husband, spending time at the beach and enjoys weightlifting and hiking.

I was Added to Tracie Costa's Schedule as I have an Issue & needed to be seen. Appointment was on time & Can't say Enough About Tracie as a Provider . I had never met her , She was Professional , Knowledgeable, Kind , & I Immediately Felt Comfortable in her Presence , So much so I Would have Switched Providers to be seen by her in the future if that was Possible !

I was taken off one of my medications, but the provider didn't tell me verbally during the visit. I only found out when I read the after-visit summary. The providers need to make this information clear before the patient leaves the examination room.
The nurse practitioner was kind, caring and professional. I was given a referral for an urologist and a cscan.I am upset because i wasn't given a cscan at appointment. I was told to wait and go to emergency room if pain was unmanageable. I was told this is the policy so this is not a reflection on the nurse practitioner. She was great.
Excellent appointment with Tracieu00A0Costa, NP. Extremely impressed.NP Costa was very receptive and very knowledgeable about my medical history. She is high recommended.
They did everything very well. The only other thing that I wish you could do is have a magic wand that would make everything better when I left. LOL
Called on a Friday was seen on Monday. Tracieu00A0Costa listened to me and set up a blood test to check for Lyme. She handled my concerns.
Everything was fine. I had to see Tracie Costa because my regular doctor is out of the office for a while. She was very nice and professional and knowledgeable. She addressed my concerns and answered my questions. I would request to see her again if my regular provider wasn't available.

The fact that I called to get seen by Tracieu00A0was urgent n was able to get n appointment the next day. That was great.
Tracie seemed well informed on my problem and asked questions to get more information. She also considered my previous meds and tests to determine what she could prescribe for my pain and any additional tests to rule out contributing issues.

I called sick, transferred me to a nurse, I got in within an hr. Had my amoxicollin and prednisone within 2 hrs.
NP Tracieu00A0was helpful in giving me direction. I had scheduled a visit for muscle spasms in my back that are disabling me in the evening hours. I also am very aware my weight is possibly part of this problem. Tracieu00A0was able to guide me through these issues and offer some helpful advice that may actually help me to reach my health goals.
