About Subtain Zia DO
Dr. Subtain Zia earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Massachusetts.
His interests include tick borne illnesses, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, bacterial and viral infections among other topics in Infectious Diseases.
The ability to help others while having a meaningful career was what inspired Subtain to become a physician. He decided to focus on Infectious Diseases because of its complexity, critical thinking, continuous learning, and patient advocacy.
He speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. When not at work, he likes exploring new cuisines, traveling, and reading about history.

Saw Dr Zia in the hospital and he was wonderful. I was late for the appointment because of the weather but all received me readily and attended to my needs.
Last August I had open-heart surgery and a lot of complications. Doctor Zia and his team have been taking care of me for over a year now. I am extremely pleased with how knowledgeable and the respectfulness I have been given.

This was first visit and when I called earliest appt was end of Sept, but was moved up to July 17th which made me happy.I was not experiencing any problems, and wanted to speak to the Dr as i had recently had labs which tested pos for Lyme dis. He answered all my Questions thoroughly.
It was a very pleasant experience from check in to check out. My appointment with Dr. Zia was a perfect experience. He knew my reason for being there, listened to me, explained why we are proceeding as we have been and ordered a sputum test to see the change in my diagnosis.
