About Sagar Patel MD
Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and earned his medical degree from the University of Debrecen Medical Health and Science Center in Debrecen, Hungary.
Dr. Patel previously served as a hospitalist at Southcoast. He completed his residencies in preliminary general surgery and in internal medicine at SUNY University of Buffalo, followed by his fellowship in nephrology at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center, both in New York.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association. He has ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
His clinical interests are: slowing progress of chronic kidney disease, hypertension management, and kidney stones.
Dr. Patel enjoys spending time fishing and camping. He also enjoys playing the guitar.

This was my first visit with this Provider. Felt very comfortable with approach and understanding. Waiting for additional information and results.Follow up appointments and other informational tests appointments are too far apart and should be closer together.
For my personal experience he is a good doctor and he listens to me if I have a health issue or questions if he can answer them he will and always make sure I follow the instructions he gives me.
Dr. Patel and all of his staff are wonderful and take excellent care of their patients.

Dr. Patel is by far my very favorite doctor. He even drew a diagram on the bed to explain something to me. He's attentive, he listens, he's great, he's the best.

Dr Patel provides excellent care He's proactive and that's important to me. He goes through all my medications asking questions and/or offering suggestions. He always reviews my lab results which I really appreciate. Most importantly he listens to his patients. He's an asset to South Coast Health
