About Matthew Spring, MD
Dr. Matthew Spring graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Dr. Spring completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Boston University Medical Center.
His philosophy of care is centered around empathy, clear communication and education. He believes each patient has a unique story and is eager to hear their concerns and questions. By making it a priority to actively listen to each patient, Dr. Spring believes the most effective treatment plan is one that aligns with the patient’s goals and values.
Outside of work, Dr. Spring enjoys Formula 1 racing, golf, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his family.

I went to the office and saw a new Dr. to me, Dr. Spring. He was so nice and listened to me. For the first time since I have been going there he was the first Dr that seemed to want to help me with out giving me any additional testing. He gave me medicine that helped me feel better. I will be going back to him. You can hire more Dr.s like Dr. Spring and that would improve the experience.
I simply love Dr. Spring! He's the best doctor I've ever seen! He's just attentive and listens to me. We actually enjoy our conversations. Most doctors avoid conversations and rush you out. He even gave me a 30-minute follow up with him. He gave me extra time to get the attention I need. What a great doctor. I wish I could have him as my PCP.?

The doctor was awesome and made me feel like he cared about my health. He was a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain the results of all the tests I had in a way I could understand. He even used video to help explain how to use my inhaler. The staff was just excellent, all around a great experience for me. Please thank them all for me.
I had an exceptional visit with Pulmonary today. The MA that roomed me was kind and did a great job. Dr. Spring was wonderful. He took the time to do a thorough assessment to understand what I needed. He was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful about my plan of care.
