About Kendra Amarante NP
Kendra earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the New England Institute of Technology in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
Kendra found her inspiration to become a nurse practitioner right here at Southcoast Health’s St. Luke’s hospital, where she had the opportunity to intern during her high school career.
Her personal philosophy of care is valuing individuality and providing care for patients that is specific to their needs and aligns with their health goals and expectations. She seeks to develop long term relationships with patients and provide care that aligns with the nursing model of care. Kendra believes that health care is more than just focusing on a specific diagnosis and treatment and that learning about their interests, hobbies, and about other aspects of their life is key to her practicing medicine.
When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her boys, family, and dogs. She also enjoys being active and spending time at the beach.
She is fluent in Portuguese.
