About Katherine Stiles MD
Katherine Stiles, MD earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Stonehill College in Easton, MA before completing her Doctor of Allopathic Medicine at State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. She then completed a preliminary year of Internal Medicine at Brown University in Providence, RI before completing an Adult Neurology Residency and a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Brown University.
Dr. Stiles decided to become a physician because she knows that everyone has a unique story, and this career allows her to listen and help people get back to living their lives in a way they desire. She chose neurology specifically because she was intrigued by the innate problem-solving involving the complexities of teasing apart neurological conditions.
Her philosophy of care is to actively listen to each patient to better understand not only their medical concerns, but also how these affect their daily lives. Her goal as a physician is to address patients’ concerns, educate them on their conditions, and discuss the best option for their unique situation as no two patients are the same.
When not at work, Dr. Stiles enjoys gardening, crocheting and spending time with her husband and pets.

This was my first experience here with Dr. Stiles. I was very impressed with my entire experience. She listened very well and was excellent in making sure all of my needs were met. I have a complicated medical history and feel that my health management is now in very good hands.

This was a last minute reschedule as the Dr I was seeing in Dartmouth wasn't going to be available but they could get me into your Portsmouth office instead. It was an Exceptional visit, start to finish. Friendly, timely, efficient staff. It was my first appointment with Dr Stiles. Yet, she entered the room already knowledgeable about my health history and issues, quite impressive. She asked pertinent questions and let me speak freely upon answering, patiently listening. She answered the questions she could, then made a clear course of action to figure out what she didn't. Dr Stiles is a huge asset to your team. Working in the dental field locally, I will refer her continuously to all my patients, family and friends!

The provider listened carefully to my medical history and my medical problems that were caused by my motor vehicle vs. bicyclist accident. She offered treatments and therapies as options to consider, and she provided an expected timeline for treatment to lead to recovery.She also encouraged me to return earlier than planned for a followup appointment if I experience any unanticipated problems.
Dr. Stiles is a great doctor . She is very pleasant and is very personable. She listens to you and will do anything to help you out. She takes her time and answers all your questions. Dr Stiles took the time to listen to me and refer me to other providers. She listened with an open mind and curiosity, and did not outright dismiss my experiences based on my presentation that day.
