About Christine Pereira

Christine came to Southcoast as a labor and delivery nurse at Charlton Memorial Hospital in 2004, the year she graduated from Worcester State University. She has been with Southcoast ever since — caring for newborns and their moms. In addition to her work as a labor and delivery RN, Christine has also served as an RN in OB/GYN offices within the Southcoast Health System since 2008.

She completed her clinical training while she pursued her master’s degree to become a certified nurse midwife. In 2012 she obtained her CNM certification from the University of Cincinnati, which has allowed Christine to provide an even higher level of care to her patients. Her expertise ranges from managing fertility treatments, to providing prenatal care, to assisting in C-sections.

    Christine is so amazing, I actually considered rating her a zero so she doesn't get so many patients that it makes it difficult for me to make an appointment. She is so attentive and down to earth. She makes this awkward, intimate process so comfortable. She remembers what I talked about last year and makes me feel seen and heard. The support staff was kind and smiled (not all staff seem happy with their job). Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend Christine Perreira for her professionalism, quality of care, and relatable personna.

    Christine is simply the best! It amazes me how after 8 years that i gave birth to my daughter she still remembers me and all the things weve spoken about. She makes you feel super comfortable at all the visits and also makes you feel like family. I love her.

    This was my first time seeing Christine. She comes highly recommended in our community. I am so pleased with my visit with her. I will definitely be requesting her for future visits! She was personable, she listened and made me feel heard and valid. I never once felt like I couldn't discuss a matter with her. I had a really bad experience with the last provider I saw within this office. Based on my previous experiences however, I knew that provider was not a true reflection of the practice. Christine is a true asset to the practice and restored my confidence after my last encounter.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
