About Christian S. Pope, DO, FACOG, MSCP
Dr. Pope earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following his medical internship at Eastern Maine Medical Center, he completed his medical education with residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. through Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Pope is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
He has been a long-standing medical staff member at Southcoast Health’s St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, Mass. Dr. Pope is on the Faculty and Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University School of Medicine where he enjoys teaching at Women and Infant’s Hospital in Providence in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Pope has authored articles in notable peer-reviewed journals and books and serves as an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a contributing member in several organizations and societies such as The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, The Massachusetts Medical Society, and The Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He has been practicing medicine in the South Coast providing quality women’s care with clinical interests in medical complications of pregnancy, quality, and safety in women’s health, menopause and teaching and education in women’s health. His personal philosophy of care is treating everyone with respect. Dr. Pope was inspired to become a physician by his family doctor who not only delivered him but cared for his entire family and became his role model and mentor from a young age.
Dr. Pope cherishes the opportunity to provide care for those in his own community, while continuing to see the next generation of patients and families.
When not at work, Dr. Pope enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and on the water.

Dr. Pope is always soft spoken, compassionate and never rushes. He explains everything and listens to you and your concerns. His medical assistant was kind and caring. I brought my daughter for her first appointment after mine with Dr. Pope and he explained everything to her age (15 ) in terms she could understand and he listened to her without making her feel uncomfortable or awkward.

I had my annual appointment with Dr. pope. He is truly the nicest most caring doctor ive ever had. This was my first time at the wareham location and i was very impressed. It was clean, had lots of parking, i was seen in a timely manner, AND i got to take a trip to wareham crossing! Whats better than that?!
