About Amy Anderson DO
Dr. Anderson is board-certified in internal medicine and earned her medical degree in osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Fl., where she also earned a masters of public health.
Dr. Anderson completed her fellowship in endocrinology at University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Va.
Dr. Anderson completed an internship and residency in internal medicine in the Women’s Health Track at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
Dr. Anderson was awarded the Arthur Klein, MD Award for Humanism in Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, and the Clinical Fellows Travel Grant and Abstract Award (Pfizer) from the Endocrine Society.
Her research project, “Etiologic Factors of Obesity Associated Hyperandrogenemia During Puberty” was awarded the Endocrine Fellows Foundation – Endocrine Research Grant.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

This provider knows I am a nurse and she treats me on a colleague level and she is very knowledgeable about my issues with diabetes and is very helpful with answers to my questions.When I have them, believe it or not, it's actually enjoyable for me to visit my south coast doctors...

Staff REALLY need to introduce themselves! (Minus the provider) It's super important to know who you are and what you do when you come and get a patient. I have no idea who it was (meaning: are you a RN? MA? CNA? Your name? )that was asking me about my medical health questions and taking my vitals.
I can't say enough about Dr Anderson. She is always so thorough and supportive. She includes me in my goals of care/health, and provides options of what are the best options for me. She listens and gives great feedback based on her specialty in a caring way. I'm very grateful and appreciative to have her as a provider.

Desk staff is very friendly. They even double checked my copay for me. Another staff member provided my daughter with a coloring sheet and crayons, which made her day. Dr Anderson always takes her time to listen during every appointment. She makes you feel seen and is very caring.
