About Alicia Medeiros DNP, AGPCNP-BC
Alicia Medeiros earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She holds certificates in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and is a certified resiliency trainer through the United States Army. Alicia began her career in healthcare working as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
Her clinical Interests include geriatrics, hospice, intensive care, cardiac, neurology, nephrology and urology. She has a fundamental knowledge of the Portuguese language.
Alicia enjoys reading, spending time with her pets, being active outdoors and especially enjoys swimming at the beach in the summertime.
Alicia’s philosophy: “I have always loved the Southcoast philosophy of “More Than Medicine.” As a practicing nurse for the last 8 years, I’ve known for a long time that sometimes a warm blanket, a cup of tea, and a hand to hold is worth more than any medication I can prescribe.”

It was a great experience at Southcoast Urology. The biggest issue I have with Southcoast Health is the extremely long wait time (2-3 months) to get an appointment.

The parking lot had been plowed from the snowstorm. The walks had been shoveled very well. Getting from the parking lot to the walk was not easy as my wife uses a walker to help her walk. It was not easy to get over the snow pile in front of the car to get to the sidewalk. Maybe shovel a couple of paths from the parking lot to the sidewalk. Not major but just worth mentioning.
Alicia was warm, caring and very informative about my surgery and continued healing. She made me very comfortable and reassured me of my progress.
Provider was polite, concerned, and comfortable. She seemed extremely skilled about my health. A terrific listener. Overall a nice visit.
