Gifts to Southcoast Health Cancer Care Fund provide clinical excellence through the direct support of patient and staff education, prevention, support groups and community engagement with the goal to improve patient outcomes.
Nicole Podkowa Patient & Caregiver Fund
For enhanced patient care, the Nicole Podkowa Patient & Caregiver Fund reduces the financial burden patients face when undergoing oncology care. Supporting more than 250 patients a year, the Podkowa Fund allows patients to prioritize their treatment and recovery freeing them of the burden of meeting basic financial needs like: groceries, utility bills, rent and mortgage assistance, copay coverage and transportation vouchers.
Rhonda Couto Patient Comfort Fund
The Rhonda Couto Patient Comfort Fund provides comfort items to oncology patients as they undergo treatment. From port shirts and radiation robes to lymphedema sleeves and mastectomy prosthetics, the Couto Fund strives to provide a more comfortable and caring oncology treatment journey.
